If you're waiting for a feeling state to happen in the future to make you feel better than you do today about doing something, you're going to wait for the rest of your life. The only way to start to feel more comfortable about doing something is to actually do it.

The irony is that them telling you... to do the 'safe thing' is arguably the riskiest thing that they could be telling you to do... Following the dreams that somebody else has for you to play it safe in this one precious life... that's terrifying to me. Just fast-forward to the number one concern of the dying, which is that they lived the life that other people wanted rather than the one that they chose for themselves.

15-50% of the thoughts in your head during the day are about what you're going to eat next. What if there weren't any of those? What would you do with 15-50% more capacity for thinking. That's why fasting is important. If you want to show up in the world as yourself, stop thinking so much about food.

Think about what it is you really want more than anything else, and if that's what you want more than anything else... then pursue it as if your life depends on it. Because it does. And you have the power to make that change if you want it badly enough.
