The White House is now claiming that inflation is the result of a Putin price hike, and they are refusing to claim responsibility, either directly or indirectly, for the current economic crisis. The use of Vladimir Putin as a scapegoat is as lame as it sounds. It is absurd to argue that the highest inflation in the last 40 years was caused by actions that are less than 6 weeks old.

There is no returning to normal; we are living in the new normal. Manipulated Fed-run markets are the default now. You think people were pissed when they had to pay more for everyday goods at the same time that their investment portfolios were increasing in value? Wait till you see people's reaction when their investment portfolios are losing material percentages, and the price of goods are still high. That situation is coming faster than you think.

If we look at the breakdown of specific components in the consumer price index, it becomes obvious that the average American is in a dire financial position. According to the government, it now costs 8.6% more to eat food in your home than it did a year ago; it costs 38% more to fill up your car with a tank of gasoline; your electricity bill is 9% more expensive. These numbers are mind-boggling.

We can analyze the official inflation numbers until our eyes bleed, but there is no way that the majority of Americans are living with 8.5% inflation. Most of the population is likely experiencing double-digit inflation.

There is a mainstream narrative that is accepted by the majority. If you dare stray from that narrative, cancel culture will come after you with a vengeance.

Inflation silently erodes the wealth of those savings in dollars. Wealthy individuals know that you can't save your way to financial security; you have to learn to invest.

I think there's four main use cases of Bitcoin: There is a store of value, there's a medium of exchange, there's speculation, and then there's what I'll just call resistant technology or freedom technology.

The louder I hear people screaming in fear of increasing rates and falling asset prices, the more bullish I get. As a friend recently told me, 'The only way you can be long-term bearish in this scenario is if you're willing to bet on the United States economy failing.' That isn't a bet I'm willing to take, and I doubt it's a bet any of you would take either.

Terra's move to back UST with Bitcoin is worth paying attention to. There are lots of risks, but if they are successful in pulling this off, then they will be creating a playbook for other stable coins and/or central banks to follow. Bitcoin is a decentralized digital currency that has successfully achieved the properties necessary to serve as superior collateral. As more people recognize this achievement, I would anticipate many other assets to adopt the Bitcoin standard.

I know you're going to laugh when I say this, but I actually think Bitcoin is the least risky asset somebody can buy today.

Being able to eclipse the gold market cap is, in my eyes, somewhat inevitable. Some of that's because Bitcoin is going to grow; some of that's because gold is going to contract. But I think that Bitcoin only becoming a gold equivalent would be very short of what is likely to be possible.

Look at the stock market. The stock market from 1971 to today is up and to the right. So, a perfect 45 degree angle ... When you denominate it in gold, it's down since 1971. If you denominate it in Bitcoin since 2009/2010, it has crashed aggressively.

We officially live in a society where there are certain topics that are not permitted to be discussed without the threat of losing your job, your reputation, and your relationships.

The first was a comparison between gold, Bitcoin, and fiat currencies to call out why they believe Bitcoin is a superior monetary good. They compared those three assets along the durability, divisibility, fungibility, portability, verifiability, scarceness and track record. Bitcoin is superior in every single one of those fronts except for the track record.

This is ultimately the problem with politicians in the current environment: They aren't incentivized to solve the problem, but rather they spend their time trying to figure out the right messaging. If wealthy people and politicians were suffering from high inflation, this nonsense would be over tomorrow.

In the last 10 years, Bitcoin has appreciated more than 1.4 million percent, and it is up 400 percent in the last 12 months.

A currency is a religion. It is a belief system. And so, whether it's the US dollar, it's Bitcoin, it's Doge, or the Euro, or the Yen, it's just both parties in a transaction believe it has value and are willing to exchange it for goods or services.

Today, there's this element of, like, show me the community and explain to me why no one can replicate it. And Doge is almost the best example. I think a lot about these assets that, frankly, you could replicate with the click of a button ... There is no leader, there [are] no employees, there is no kind of team behind it, yet it still persists. It's almost like a startup that everyone thinks it's a dumb idea but it just won't die.

Never before in human history had the problem of digital scarcity and a true peer-to-peer electronic cash been solved until Bitcoin was invented.

Bitcoin is the closest a digital protocol could be to enforcing absolute scarcity. In other words, any project or other blockchain network that requires its users to believe they are transacting with a token that has real monetary value likely needs to be directly or indirectly connected to Bitcoin as the ultimate monetary good.

Bitcoin's clear advantage as a store value asset reduces its risk, even in a world that contains an ecosystem of many vibrant digital assets.

The central bank, this is actually a crazy statistic, they had about a $900 billion balance sheet coming out of the global financial crisis; they 10 bagged, it. They literally went from $900 billion to $9 trillion between the global financial crisis and 2022.

The more power that you give to governments, the more that they encroach on personal freedoms, individual liberties, etc.

For a long time, people thought if you're buying Bitcoin, you're trying to make a buck ... This is not about making money; it's about saving money. It's a savings technology.

Why would you ever save your money in something that is designed to lose purchasing power?

The Christmas light electrical consumption in the United States every year is more than some countries.

Every single rich person understands how to benefit from the system: Hold assets, not a currency. Don't hold the dollar. Instead, hold the assets.
